Firstly I would like to say thankyou for those who helped me with the theme " Trunnions require help". as it is to you all known Trunnions can be a bugger when they are siezed, but in all honesty, the proplem was they were not siezed on one side, the bolt which holds them together was bent due to an accident some many years ago.
I have heard from others and read that once the trunnions have been renewed that "Lower steering swivels" should be filled with SAE 80 EP is this correct ? or have I got the wrong info ?
Thanks again
Les

This is a controverse disscused topic, ( wo ist die ÖL bzw Fett Fraktion wie sieht es mit eurem Englisch aus

). If you stick to the manual you are right, but there are some Peple putting grease in.

I think that much more important than oil or grease is that you make sure that the trunnion is filled up with it all the time so that there is no way for water to get in.

genau, or
oily grease versus greasy oil

Most important is that there is something in it that lubricates
